Affordable Digital Cameras

Smart shopping counts for a lot, but it is especially important when you are looking for affordable digital cameras. Affordable electronics in general follow pretty much the same trend. The new stuff is always really expensive, but once you wait six months or so, it comes down in price. This is definitely the case with affordable digital cameras. When I bought my first electronic camera, it cost a fortune. I don’t remember exactly what the resolution was, but it was much lower than the typical camera resolution now. Back then, however, it was cutting edge. It didn’t take as good a picture as any phone camera will nowadays, yet it cost as much as top of the line professional cameras.
Nowadays, if you are a smart shopper, you can find an affordable digital camera well within your price range. A lot of people start by looking for used cameras. Used affordable digital cameras are a good idea if you know a few things about cameras. You need to be able to check them out to make sure the lenses aren’t scratched, the mechanics work well, and everything is in order. Then again, if you don’t know what you’re doing, buying a used camera can get you into trouble. Getting a really expensive camera for only a hundred dollars is not a deal if it turns out to be a lemon!
Even without buying used, you can find what you need for a good price. The key to buying affordable digital cameras is knowing the hype from the substance. Take resolution, for example. Having a high resolution digital image is a good thing, but it only has to be so high. If you only plan on taking standard photographs and do not plan on reprocessing them, blowing them up, or editing them in other ways, you can actually get a good image with a pretty low resolution. This will save you a bundle. You can also save money by giving up on the newest features. You don’t need sophisticated image detection software, zoom, and all that nonsense. If you want zoom, you can always go buy a zoom lens later. The typical amateur photographer will not be able to tell the difference between the picture he gets from a top-of-the-line digital camera and an affordable one. Do yourself a favor and don’t spend the extra money for fancy functions you won’t even use.
Then again, there are some things you don’t want to compromise on. You should make sure to buy your affordable digital camera from a reputable company which offers a warranty on it. You should also make sure that it has sufficient memory for all the pictures you want to take, or that memory sticks are easy to buy and reasonably affordable.
Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K

Many avid photographers love the top notch cameras on the market today. One such item is the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K. This digital camera offers all of the quality that you would expect from the Nikon or Olympus cameras but without the high price. This compact camera is a fantastic addition to your photography gear.
I bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K on a whim. I usually do quite a bit of research when buying electronics but the price was just too reasonable to let this digital camera slip by. The compact design is what initially drew me to this particular model. I really wanted something petite.
The Panasonic digital camera is about the size of a regular cell phone. I was not expecting to get very high quality images with this little number but I couldn’t resist buying something that was so compact and easy to carry around. There are many opportunities that call for a snapshot and the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K is the perfect camera for impulsive picture moments.
I can’t tell you how pleaseant my surprise was when I looked at the images that this camera produced. The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K helped me capture a lot of wonderful shots that I would have guessed I took on my Olympus. This is a real treat for me because I don’t have to tote around a big digital camera to get great shots.
The picture quality is nothing short of amazing. Part of my amazement lies in the fact that this little number has some wonderful features that I would expect from a high end digital camera. The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K has an anti-shake function that keeps the image still even when you (or the image) are in motion. I have no idea how this works but it does and I love it.
The lens is another great feature that is very surprising to me. I would expect the quality lens to be attached to a high end digital camera that costs a lot more than the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K. The images that I get with this unit are clear and clean and brilliant. The colors are outstanding and I just couldn’t ask anything more from a compact digital camera.
If you are looking for a small camera with a small price tag, don’t think that you have to give up quality in the process. The Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ5K is a winner every time.
